If you live in New Jersey, Verizon FiOS TV is now available to about 250,000 households in parts of 106 communities in Bergen, Camden, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Passaic, Somerset and Union counties. FiOS TV fiber optic technology will soon be hundreds of thousands of additional families to be extended to more than 100 additional communities. New State under streamlined video franchise law, Verizon has announced plans to offer FiOS TV on its all-fiber network in morethan 300 communities in the years to come.
FiOS TV is designed to compete with cable and satellite and win. It was handed over Verizon's fiber-to-the-premises network, which is an industry leading quality and reliability. 100% fiber-optic technology provides vivid and surprisingly good, and the ability to provide a wide range of high definition programs that send the clear and intense it seems leap from the TV screen. Verizon's network design includes backupCommon services, are not the traditional cable systems, such as duplicate "head ends" where the TV service receives national programming.
Verizon offers several packages to suit. The FiOS TV Premier package includes: local channels, like ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, almost 200 digital channels, 47 Music Choice channels, development must be ESPN, Discovery, TNT, USA, MTV, CNN, and many more! Wide On Demand library with thousands of titles – veryfacilities – including programming for children, sports, news, pop culture, home and leisure.
Verizon also offers innovative features not available from other vendors such as Home Media DVR (digital video recorder) and FiOS TV Widgets. Home Media DVR has a multi-room DVR functionality allows up to three simultaneous viewing of recorded programs without having to reach customers in a complex home network or buy extra equipment. Customers can also send pictures and access musictheir PCs and play them on their TV. FiOS TV Widgets is a free interactive feature that provides viewers with local weather and traffic information, as they watch their favorite programs.
